Cancellation before preparation begins
Request cancellation by emailing info@byte-forgepoint.digital with your name and appointment date. If we receive the request more than 48 hours before the appointment and substantive preparation has not started, we provide a full refund. Any mandatory statutory withdrawal right remains unaffected.
Work already started
Roadmap and document-review engagements include intake assessment before the call. If you ask us to begin during a statutory withdrawal period or preparation has begun with your agreement, a cancellation refund may be reduced by a reasonable amount for work actually performed. We will explain the deduction and supply a calculation.
Purchased third-party materials are unusual for this service and are never bought without written approval. A specifically approved, non-recoverable cost is not refundable once incurred.
Late cancellations and no-shows
For cancellation within 48 hours, we may retain 50% of the fee because preparation and reserved adviser time cannot usually be reassigned. A no-show or cancellation after the appointment starts is non-refundable. These terms do not limit rights where you could not attend because of circumstances for which Byte Forgepoint is responsible.
Rescheduling
One reschedule requested at least 48 hours in advance is normally free. Later requests may be treated as a late cancellation, although we consider documented emergencies reasonably. A new date should normally fall within 60 days.
If we cancel, you may choose a prompt replacement date or a full refund for the affected service. If a call fails because of our systems and cannot reasonably continue, we will reschedule the unused portion or refund it proportionately.
Partial delivery and dissatisfaction
Where a defined part of the engagement has not been delivered, contact us within 14 days of the promised delivery date. We first try to complete or correct the work within a reasonable time. If that is not possible, a proportionate refund is available for the undelivered part.
A result outside our control—such as an authority decision, unavailable appointment, rejected rental application or changed official requirement—is not by itself grounds for refund when the agreed guidance was delivered. Nothing here removes statutory remedies for a service that does not conform to contract.
Deposits and refund method
We ordinarily invoice the full fee rather than a deposit. If a bespoke engagement uses a deposit, the written offer states whether preparation begins immediately and what portion becomes earned. Approved refunds return through the original payment method, normally bank transfer, within 10 German business days after confirmation. Bank processing can add time.
Include the invoice number and reason in the request. Exceptional hardship or serious disruption will be considered individually and does not reduce mandatory consumer protections.
